About Me

Hey there! My name is Chelsea. I am Registered Psychotherapist practicing in Kitchener, ON and virtually throughout Ontario.

For almost a decade, I've had the greatest privilege of working with people of all ages dealing with various mental health issues, addictions, and trauma. Before my journey as a psychotherapist began, I held various roles in community mental health in both inpatient and outpatient settings. My desire to help others began with both personal and professional experiences that have shaped my understanding of resilience, healing, and the importance of mental health. Through my work in crisis intervention, inpatient care, and community mental health, and psychotherapy, I’ve witnessed firsthand the amazing impact of connection and how support grounded in research can help people heal, grow, and discover their true self.

My Approach

I work with teens, adults and couples work through a variety of mental health struggles, relationship issues, and life challenges. Some people come to therapy seeking a safe space to talk, to heal from a break-up, to explore their identities, to address past traumas, or to find tangible strategies to manage anxiety and depression. Often, clients have multiple concerns they want to address in sessions. In our time together, I encourage you to bring your whole self to each session and feel free to discuss anything on your mind—no topic is off-limits.

I believe that progress made in therapy is built on a strong therapeutic relationship. I prioritize rapport building while working towards your therapy goals. Our treatment together is flexible and can always change.

Modalities

I take a down-to-earth, holistic approach to therapy, weaving together CBT, DBT, ACT, trauma and attachment-focused therapy, IFS and Polyvagal Theory. By combining top-down and bottom-up techniques, we work towards healing, regulating, and building deeper connections with ourselves and others. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space for lasting growth and change in our time together. I am certified as a DBT therapist, an ADHD therapist and as a Trauma therapist, allowing me to provide targeted support for those looking for ADHD management, emotional regulation, and trauma recovery.
